Dark Light

We have been talking so much about the Witcher 3, its easy to forget that the game is still some way out before we actually get to play it.

Infact, we have been talking about the Witcher 3, as soon as Witcer 2 got over. Everyone who was someone in the gaming world was smitten by the swash buckling, no-nonsense, spell weilding, women bedding Geralt, and all of that shit just became real when CD Projekt RED announced the Witcher 3 at E3 last year.

Now as many of you know, IndianNoob owns a copy of Witcher 2, and is not exactly a fan of the game. Infact I was more excited by the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer that CD Projekt RED put out (whatever happened to that game huh!) than I was for news about a new Witcher (and lets be honest, everyone knew a new Withcer was comign out).

But I did see the trailer of Witcher 3 last year, and it is the video that I show to my friends when I have to prove to them how good games have become over the last few years. This year at E3, their gameplay trailer was so awesome that it won the IGN E3 game of the year award for the secodnn time in a row. Just to put that in prospective, this year at E3 we saw games like Far Cry 4, Halo 5, The Divison, Sunset Overdrive, Destiny and Uncharted. Gamers ignored all that and voted for this RPG, how awesome can it be?

The Witcher 3 is 30 times more larger than the two previous games combined, infact its 20% larger than Skyrim. Impressed? How about 100 hours of gameplay for asingle playthrough; 50 for main and 50 side quests. How about now? A perennial day and night system, more than 80 different monsters, the powers of which would vary according to the day-night cycle and a trademark open ended branching storyline allowing you for more choices ever possible in a video game. Still not there? How about no loading screens in the game what so ever. Yes I know…BOOM!!!

Check out what I am talking about with commentary from some random people IGN gathered below:

Witcher 3 will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and the XBox One on Feb 15 2015.

Sadly the release date takes it out of the competitoion for E3 2015.
