Pokémon GO, the successful and popular augmented reality game by Niantic Labs is now at the summit of this world (does this sound too much? whatever it is…).

Pokemon Go is now searched more than Porn on the internet.

The game has not even rolled out properly and it’s still not available in some regions except US, Australia, New Zealand and Germany (its newest member). But since its release, it has reportedly managed to generate a whooping $14.04 million.

Fans of the game outside the official channels are still itching for it. And Niantic Labs assured them that it’ll soon be released in remaining regions including India.

Be that as it may, others who are still playing the game in those regions (using sideloading in Android and god knows what in Apple) and have already caught 10, 20 or 30 Pokémons, maybe even more, but the burning questions players are asking is that – How many Pokémons are there in Pokémon GO? What are they?

So for those fans who wanted to see how many and which pokemons are included in Pokémon GO, I’ve crawled through the game’s data files and so far found a total of 151 pokemons. Though the in-game pokedex shows only 111 pokemons that are to be caught but further pokemons might be unlockable.

Pokemons in Pokémon GO are classified into 18 following types:

  1. POKEMON_TYPE_BUG
  2. POKEMON_TYPE_DARK
  3. POKEMON_TYPE_DRAGON
  4. POKEMON_TYPE_ELECTRIC

Anyone with a sharp eye would notice that these are the original but only 151 pokemons available in Pokémon GO.

The total number though seems very low and after seeing some of the passionate fans, they’ll likely to hit the cap soon.

I’ve played the game and been ripped off to walk a distance of 2km just for finding these cute lil things (the fun fact is, I’ve never walked that much!). So thanks to the developers for removing the lazy tag from me, ’cause my mom thinks I was rushing for some work rather than just playing games (she’s innocent, you know).

Well, anyways…Sorry for spoiling the game. By the way I caught 10, and you?
