Dark Light

Rockstar Games have been maintaining a tight lid as of late. We’ve seen some information from the investor’s meet, which suggested that they might be aiming for an announcement and subsequent release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2023. However, a new rumor has come forth, which suggested that Rockstar might be working on another project as of late. Yep, it’s none other than a remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption.

According to a leaker from 4chan, the next big title from Rockstar Games is a remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption. The remaster will basically rebuild the game in its successor’s engine, and add the extra activities like hunting and fishing. A few new side missions will also be added. The same leak suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be announced in the summer of 2022 (possibly followed by 2023). There’s some doubt about the mention of the PC platform since Rockstar Games had mentioned in the past that it isn’t technically feasible to port the game to the PC.

Red Dead Redemption remaster is supposed to be Rockstar Games' next big game.

The game is being made by Rockstar India under the supervision of Rockstar San Diego. The game is being made as a separate game and not a DLC. The supposed price for the remaster is $40, which comes with the Undead Nightmare expansion.

Red Dead Redemption will likely be sold separately for 40 bucks.

This might come as a surprise to quite a few amongst us. Grand Theft Auto 6 is supposed to be the next big thing on Rockstar Games’ plate after a while. The official confirmation from a Take-Two employee that the extra marketing budget wasn’t for Grand Theft Auto 6 does mean the budget was allocated for another title – and what’s a better title to work on than a remaster of a game which was loved by everyone? This should not come as a surprise to most – this was the strategy followed by Rockstar with both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Considering the source of the origin, take this with a pinch of salt till a confirmation comes through.
