PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is going to get a new Event Pass, for players to earn additional cosmetic rewards while playing the game.
The Event Pass is a trackable progression related system, which allows player to unlock cosmetics in the game in a manner different from the crate and key system.
There are two tiers of content in the Event Pass. The free tier is for players to experience what it means to unlock additional content without spending money. Naturally, the premium tier has many more unlockables, and also includes every reward in the free tier. Players progressing up the ladder can purchase a Pass anytime and avail the rewards of the premium tier depending on the level they are in. The rewards won’t be tradable or marketable, so only those players who earn the rewards will be able to show them off.
The Event Pass lasts for four weeks, and will have daily objectives, weekly objectives and Sanhok specific objectives as an incentive for playing in Sanhok.
One exclusive reward for the Event Pass will be the ability to change your in-game name free of cost.
The Event Pass drops on the next scheduled update for the game on June 22, which also introduces the new map, Sanhok.
Totally not similar to a “pass” in another game, or is it?
