For a game such as Planetside, it’s always difficult signing off. The game finally decided to shut down its servers on July 1 at 4:00 PM PT. That’s more than 13 years after the game first launched on May 20, 2003.
As is customary when servers of the game shuts down, veteran players of the game, logged into their account and waited for the server to go offline. These veterans were also greeted by a meteor shower that the devs of the game had setup as the last goodbye for the game.
