Wolfenstein is one of the iconic oldschool fps franchises that has made a resurgence in recent times. Wolfenstein: The New Order paved the way for two more games in the series that breathed new life into everyone’s favourite Nazi killing machine B.J. Blazkowicz. Although Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was a step back for the series, longtime fans would undoubtedly be very happy knowing that Wolfenstein series is not going away anytime soon.

In a recent interview with GameCentral for British electronic entertainment website, Metro, the vice president of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines confirmed that Bethesda is ‘Absolutely’ working on the next entry in the Wolfenstein franchise.

Replying to the interviewer’s question of whether we’ll see the conclusion to the story of The New Order, Pete Hines said, “Absolutely we’re making a Wolfenstein III. They said on stage that they’re taking a break from the larger story to do this [Wolfesntein: The New Blood] thing. But we all have to see how that ends.”

At the moment, the Wolfenstein developers are focusing their efforts on the co-op fps Wolfenstein: The New Blood which is due next year.
