Today, NVIDIA is releasing a stunning 4K, HDR trailer that discusses the relationship between the technology and the game. The video features nods to technologies, like NVIDIA Ansel, that are in the game, and the game’s use of the Frostbite game engine.
Mass Effect: Andromeda in 4K, HDR for the First Time
The video features exclusive interviews with the developers and has Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay footage in 4K with HDR enabled throughout. The video was shot in 4K with HDR for viewers with a HDR enabled display.
Ansel’s Use by Developers
Along with HDR, Mass Effect: Andromeda features NVIDIA Ansel technologies. The video points out that Ansel is not just an end user tool, it was used in the development process for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The development team also expresses their excitement about end users sharing their art with the world using Ansel.
NVIDIA Ansel is a revolutionary new way to capture in-game photography. Ansel is also supported in and ARK: Survival Evolved, Conan Exiles, Dishonored 2, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Obduction, War Thunder, Watch Dogs 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Witness and was recently added to Unity Engine and Unreal Engine as a plug-in.
