Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod have confirmed through the game’s official Twitter account that Vampyr, their upcoming action RPG will not be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

Denuvo is an infamous anti-tamper technology which was reported to be impossible to crack before being proved otherwise. Some consumers have alleged that Denuvo shortens the lifetime of SSDs by writing an excessive amount of data to the drive. Since 2014, Denuvo had been allegedly causing performance issues in the games that used it as a protection against piracy.

Vampyr, which is set in 1918 London has already gone Gold and will release on June 5th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
