Dark Light

After months of leaks and rumors, publisher 2K Games have finally announced Mafia Trilogy, a supposed remastered package containing Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, Mafia II, and Mafia III. Mafia Trilogy was announced for PC (both Epic Store and STEAM), PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia via a brief teaser which showed series protagonists Tommy Angelo, Vito Scaletta, and Lincoln Clay with some traditional gangster monologue by Vito in the background. A full announcement will follow on May 19.

Judging by the HD model of Tommy in the teaser, there is a chance that Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven might get a full-on remake, courtesy of Hangar 13. But the latter two games hold up incredibly well, so chances are that these two will get a normal ‘remast’ treatment. It would be cool if Hangar 13 went back and fix up the technical mishaps of Mafia III but that may be out of the question.

UPDATE: Yes! Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is indeed being remade as Mafia: Definitive Edition. Here are a few screenshots!:

According to a leaked Microsoft listing,  Mafia: Definitive Edition, the full remake of the original Mafia will be released on August 28 and Mafia II: Definitive Edition, on May 19.
