Dark Light

A mysterious game named Red Door has popped up on the Microsoft Store – and it is rumored to be the next Call of Duty! It is listed as a game from Activision Publishing Inc., but there has been no formal announcement on social media by them or developer Treyarch Studios. It is tagged as a Shooter, rated PEGI 18 because of ‘Extreme Violence’ and has an approximate size of 81.65 GB. The ominous description states, “There is more than one truth. If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?

So what is the connection with Call of Duty, you ask? Back in June, the same name had been revealed by dataminers who found out the internal developer alpha version of Call Of Duty 2020 with content ID tag “COD2020INTALPHA1” on Sony PS4 servers.

What is the Red Door? Keen-eyed fans have found out an apparent link – Paint It Black, the Vietnam-era Rolling Stones anthem featured in the Black Ops 3 reveal trailer of 2015, starts off with the lyrics “I see a red door and I want it painted black.

Are we getting close to a proper reveal? Is this a soft reboot of the Black Ops franchise? How will it be connected to the recent blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? Will it continue the BR-mode Warzone? Are we going to see a return of the zombies? We have lots of questions, but no answers in sight. We can’t wait to step through the Red Door.
