The AMD Ryzen CPUs represented the first set of the red team’s Zen processor architecture. After all the “Wait for Ryzen” slogans that were going around in the PC gaming groups, Ryzen finally released in March of 2017 with Ryzen 1800X being the top of the line CPU from AMD’s die. Ryzen is a pretty competitive CPU that is “not just for gaming”, according to AMD and to quite an extent, it is true.
AMD is trying to build upon their Ryzen line up, by doubling the core count and might be aimed at the extremely enthusiast consumer with their newly announced Ryzen Threadripper.
Not much has been revealed about the processor apart from the name and the amount of cores, but we will keep you updated. What do you think of the Threadripper? Let us know in the comments below.
