In a recent interview with PlayStation blog (who for some reason keep getting all the scoop), Game Director Danny Belanger stressed on how Watch Dogs 2 will be different from the first Watch Dogs.
“Whereas the first Watch Dogs was all about surveillance, this time we’re focusing on ‘Big Data’ — social media, search engines, and so forth. We’re taking these technologies, looking at them, and asking what the risks are, what can happen, what could a hacker do? And we’ve found that we can create some super-interesting situations.”
Danny also acknowledges that no 2 gamers are alike, and while some like to enter missions gun blazing, others like to take the stealth route. And Watch Dogs 2 aim to cater to all kinds this time.
Unlike in the original game, you can actually reach Watch Dogs 2’s finale without once using deadly force.
“The player has the freedom to play the way they want,” explains Belanger. “We’re using three playstyles to talk about the game. The combat hacker — who is more proactive and uses hacks to take down people. There’s the ghost hacker — they can use hacks to distract and make noises. And then there’s the trickster hacker. They can finish a whole mission without actually physically being there.”
What do you thin about this new direction the game is taking? Will this new change help in getting Watch Dogs 2 better reception? What other changes would you like to see in the sequel. Let us know all this and more in the comments.
Just want some Airport.. It brings fun to game-play, Like hack into a flying plane to control it. Hack an air-force plane to fire at its own troops… Just Awesome!!!!
And hear the screams of the passenger…as you swerve the plane around….
LOL…
No…ok…
Ok then only for traveling as the map is quite huge for a vehicle to travel…
