Dark Light

The Crew Motorfest stood out from the time the trailer dropped. It stole our hearts in the public beta. And finally, we could not stop playing The Crew Motorfest since the release. Developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower and other notable studio branches, you can play The Crew Motorfest on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S|X, and Amazon Luna.

Start your engines, and let’s dive into The Crew Motorfest Review.

THE CREW MOTORFEST Review

A Note-Worthy Long Drive

The Crew Motorfest is genuinely a celebration of automobiles. From a car enthusiast to a fresher, everyone can play The Crew Motorfest and still enjoy it right from the start. The Crew Motorfest has an enormous map featuring multiple POIs since it’s based in Hawaii. We will talk more about the breathtaking graphics the Motorfest has to offer, but let’s start with the endless amount of content in the game.

Which car type is your favourite? Well, I don’t care, neither does The Crew Motorfest, because why not play with EVERY genre of vehicles in a fantastic playlist format? This playlist lets you learn the origins, history, how a particular type of car came to life, and how it has progressed. While this sounds great, the playlists are topped with culture, presentation, and fantastic cinematics.

You will kickstart your adventure exploring the Japanese Sports Cars. Afterwards, you’ll travel across the map in a beautifully curated Map tour playlist, and then right afterwards; you’ll be challenged by the best American Muscle cars. Similarly, you’ll venture further into exploring the legacy of Porsche 911, Lamborghini, Off-Roading Adventures, Supercars, Bikes, Superboats, and finally, top it off with custom-made playlists with content creators like the infamous – Donut Media and Supercar Blondie.

Having a flood of variety has genuinely taken us by surprise. We already expected The Crew Motorfest to be an up-and-coming racing game, especially after the success story of Riders Republic. But oh boy! The game always surpasses expectations. The perfect balance of being an enjoyable, thrilling, and competitive racing game has indeed been achieved in the Motorfest.

The game has a total of 604 vehicles until now. Since four cars will be added each month for the first season pass, we expect even more cars to land at the Motorfest. And, before you ask, NO, the vehicles are not a repetition with just different levels. 604 separate vehicles from multiple brands. Besides the already present content, who would want to avoid taking out the Lamborghini Egoista or the Koenigsegg JESKO 2020? Or, if you want a smooth (super fast) ride along the coast, the BMW i8 Roadster Stellar Edition should have your back!

THE CREW MOTORFEST Review

The four-wheelers are all set to give you a goosebump-filled adventure, but since it’s a Crew game, you’ll also get the opportunity to go airborne and explore the beautiful waters of Hawaii. However, these are just added features that would be optional in each festival activity. It is a good idea to drop your supercar from the air. Let your intrusive thoughts go WILD!

Our only question is, what is the need to be always online? Can’t I play if my internet line is down? We hope similar to Riders Republic- Zen mode can be introduced in the future.

The Orange Sunset of Hawaii

The Crew Motorfest is a visual gem of racing games. It easily competes and surpasses many top-of-the-line racing games available in the market. Right off the start, during the induction, you can experience the multiple sports styles and explore the theme and unbeatable graphics of the environment and your vehicle. The weather system of the game and the way the lighting works is truly a mindblowing experience.

The vehicle detail is exhilarating since each vehicle has been modeled almost perfectly and somehow works well, whether it’s sunset or neon lights in the dark. More importantly, even the first-person detailing of the interior and the dash is accurate for the actual cars and provides a very close simulation for most of them.

Hawaii looks best when airborne, and this would be the only time you can lay back and enjoy the true beauty of Hawaii. This game can not be a better pick after a long day at work. From having a chill experience to immediately switching to 24-player multiplayer sessions at the press of a button is what makes The Crew Motorfest bigger than it already is.

The Crew Motorfest provides amazing graphics even in performance mode, and the resolution mode is better suited to enjoy ray-traced images during rain or playing in more extensive displays. The game never stuttered, crashed, or faced any bugs, even after hours of continuous play. This truly stands on the polished quality Ubisoft is looking after.

Handling Done Right!

The most important pillar of any racing game is the handling. Even if some vehicles are hard to handle, cars must render a similar experience to reality. The Crew Motorfest proudly presents you with over 600+ vehicles with distinguished handling and overall look and feel. Even if you upgrade the vehicles, you’ll get a more optimized vehicle, which will require highly detailed handling.

The upgraded loot parts are the only drawback I found in the game. The marketplace offers new vehicles you can purchase from in-game coins or real money currency, but not upgrade parts. Upgrade parts must be earned from leveling up, winning races with high placements, and treasure boxes. Upgrade Parts are essential for certain races, including the summit races.

Summit races are one of the weekly rotating challenges you can find as a game mode. These summit races rank you based on the lap time. You can only increase lap time by upgrading the specific vehicle dedicated to the event. However, you cannot upgrade your other cars if you run out of upgrade items. In the end, people with more ground will be on top regardless of how skilled they are at completing the lap.

Car customization is taken to another level with the option to introduce and host custom liveries. You can also change and equip ANY car cosmetically and instantly purchase them for a tiny in-game currency amount. This is a great move, as such details and features should be kept from being blocked by microtransactions. While your car can be customized, your player cannot be customized, and neither can you roam outside except the starting showroom.

Real Talk

The Crew Motorfest is genuinely what the name suggests – a Festival celebrating motor vehicles. With insane graphics and detailed vehicles, every ride or race becomes a solid experience that stays with you. Having many custom-designed mainstream content and creators’ collaboration took us by surprise. But even after the main story, you get a brand new theme each week and the constantly rotating multiplayer races. The Upgrade parts may force you to grind more to win more.

FINAL RATING: 90/100

The Crew Motorfest not only excels in terms of how brilliant it looks visually, but at the same time has an extremely vide variety of vehicles and races including Rally, Drifts, Supercars, Motorsports, Off-road, Boat Racings and so much more than the word limit allow. The upgrade parts aspect may not be the best and it focuses too much on cars and not the player or its crew. But apart from that, once you're hooked, there's no going back!
