Dark Light

Crossover characters are not a new thing in Fighting games. Soulcalibur is notorious for its crossovers as we’ve seen KratosMaster Yoda, and most recently, Geralt in the game. Mortal Kombat has welcomed the likes of the JokerSpawn, and The Terminator. Street Fighter V has Akira from Rival SchoolsSmash Bros has KenRyu, and Jin in the game. But, no franchise welcomes crossover characters quite like Brawlhalla. This fun, platform fighting game has no less than 48 crossover characters. Yes, you heard that right, there are currently 48 crossover characters in Brawlhalla including characters from some of the most iconic series, cartoons, and games ever made. Even the Rock makes an appearance (seriously, he’s everywhere!). With so many crossover characters, there are bound to be some that people did not really warm up to. Also, there are definitely some that people love to hell and back and that is the purpose of this list. In this article, we’ll be looking at the top 10 best crossover characters in Brawlhalla.

John Cena

The original invisible man joins the cast of Brawlhalla in the WWE x Brawlhalla crossover. John Cena is a popular character both on-screen and in real life and his Brawlhalla counterpart is also a lot of fun. The fact that he uses a ladder and a fire extinguisher also adds to how much fun he is to use. He also uses the ropes found in the wrestling ring to propel himself which only adds to his appeal.

Plague Knight

Plague Knight joined Brawlhalla along with some of the other characters from indie darling, Shovel Knight. There is Shovel Knight, King Knight, Dark Knight, Specter Knight, and EnchantressPlague Knight is by no means the most powerful of the characters, but his design is splendid and the addition of his potion bottles looks gorgeous on screen.

Amethyst

From the Steven Universe Universe (pun completely intended), we have Amethyst who is one of the popular characters on the show. What’s so great about her is the integration of several of her canon moves into the game. She uses the canon and Axe and her movement speed is pretty decent. Her character design was also well done and the switch between the cartoon world and the chaos that is Brawlhalla hasn’t done her any damage it seems.

Lara Croft

The raider of tombs and possibly one of the most influential characters in gaming history, Lara Croft, joins the Brawlhalla cast. Lara, while incredible, isn’t someone that has been seen in fighting games before unlike the likes of Ryu who winds up everywhere. Lara is an absolutely amazing crossover character and the incorporation of her twin guns and her bow which come from the games into Brawlhalla is truly impressive. Not only that but Lara is also a great fighter able to blast enemies with speed and the grappling tool from her gun which pulls opponents in and enables her to throw them is a great feature. Finally, she also comes with another costume besides her iconic one, which is the survivor Lara Croft costume and this bundle gives you some value for money.

Jake

Finn the Human’s trusty sidekick, Jake is one of the best crossover characters hands down. He possesses a moveset that is really awesome and is easily one of the top tier Brawlhalla charactersJake is actually a skin for Kor who is high on the Brawlhalla tier list, but Jake arguably elevates the character and his gauntlets and hammer are well reconstructed. His hammer is a pan with bacon in it which is essentially an extension of his body.  The crossovers might cost some money, but Jake is well worth it.

Chun-Li

Possibly the most popular female character in all of fighting games, Chun-Li is a Street Fighter veteran who also appears in Fortnite and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and graces Brawlhalla with her awesomeness. Within Brawlhalla, she is an amazing character with solid sigs and great movement across the screen. Her design is also great as they were able to add some of her signature moves including the iconic spinning bird kick which is incredibly satisfying to pull off. Her palm strike also known as ‘Kikosho’ is also incorporated into the game creating an impeccable design for Chun-Li.

Daimio

From the world of Hellboy comes Daimio. He is a Mordex skin which should perhaps tell you all you need to know about the character. Blessed with a great moveset, Daimio is one of the best things about the Hellboy crossover (the Horde mode was also a great addition)

Princess Bubblegum

Jake was an epic character, Princess Bubblegum was just a pleasure to have in Brawlhalla. Her design was just so well done and her moveset was also pretty useful. Her blasters seem very true to her character and just as her name implies, all of her moves have an element of bubblegum to them which is aesthetically pleasing to players in general. Her lance is also notable as it has a function where it sucks the player in to help her extend combos which is also really cool.

Po

The original kung fu panda joins the fight with Po. Po acts as a skin for Wu Shang who is one of the more popular characters in the game. While Po’s skillset and moves don’t differ much from Wu Shang’s which could be a little disappointing, everything else is an absolute hit. From his sigs to his weapons which take a lot from the animated movie, Po is a great character to use in this game.

Heatblast

If you really think about it, Heatblast is one of Ben 10’s best transformations in the first place. So, finding him as one of the best crossover skins in Brawlhalla should be no surprise. While the Ben 10 crossover saw three of Ben’s best monster transformations, Heatblast was easily the best to look at on screen. He uses blasters, but they are designed like flaming hands which just looks awesome on screen and his magma spear is also top notch. His sigs are great, he moves with ease, and is fun to fight with, what more can one ask for?
