Not only is Call of Juarez: Gunslinger a fantastic fps, it also saved the reputation of the series after the abysmal Call of Juarez: The Cartel. And it seems like that we might be getting a sequel or a remaster to Techland’s 2013 Western FPS.

The tease appeared on the official Call of Juarez Facebook page, which has been updated for the first time since Gunslinger’s release in 2013. The cover picture shows Gunslinger’s protagonist Silas Greaves, along with the quote “Legends Never Die”. A second image was uploaded shortly afterwards, with the quote “I haven’t been here in many years. Name’s Silas Greaves.”

Just an hour ago, a short video was uploaded to the page, with the caption ‘Silas Greaves has something to say to Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang’ (from Rockstar’s upcoming Western Red Dead Redemption 2) and hashtagged below are the words Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption #RedDeadRedemption2#RDR2

“The old west is full of legends,” Greaves says in the video. “And you, Arthur Morgan, will soon be one of the greatest, I’m sure. Because legends, you know, they never die. They change and come back stronger than ever.” The message ends with the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger logo.

What does all of this mean? We have no way of knowing for sure at the moment. Techland did acquire the publishing rights to the series, which it developed, from Ubisoft. So we might be looking at a full-blown sequel here.
