After successfully organizing the Rocket League India Delhi Meetup and the Community Cup, Rocket League India have announced yet another tournament, bigger than the previous ones, and this time open to all players accross Asia.

After 2 years of organizing Community Cups accessible only to Indian players, the RLI team have decided to branch out and provide a platform for all of Asia to showcase their Rocket League skills. Initially, RL India’s goal was to build a strong community with dedicated members, we started off with only a few active members on Facebook. Through the initiative of passionate members, they were able to conduct our very first community cup, funded by entry fee, the turnout was small, with less than 10 teams participating. Since then they have expanded exponentially. Now prize pool is funded by donations and they provide a free entry model for players.

The RLI community boasts a 2500+ members strong community, with their last entry of the community cup (cc#7) boasting well over 40 teams! Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed and they secured both Discord and Twitch partnerships.

With the support of Twitch, RLI will now able to bring Asia’s biggest Rocket League tournament with a prize pool of 500$. The tournament will be split into 2 weeks. The 1st week will be an open qualifier from which the top 16 teams will move on onto Week 2. On 7th and 8th April, teams will battle it out in a double elimination bracket at the end of which, they will have the first ever Asian Open Champions!

The final day of the tournament will be on the front page of twitch. Through which RLI will get some much-needed exposure to the Asian scene. Asia has great talent, and now is the time to show Psyonix why they need to expand RLCS to the world! For the event to be a success we need you, the viewers!
