Ludeon Studios, the developer behind strategy simulator RimWorld, today announced that they had sold over a million copies. In a blog post on their site, they thanked the community for the extensive support, and for helping beat the Kickstarter goal of 1000 sales.

RimWorld is a strategy-based simulation which begins with the crash landing of a spaceship on a lonely planet. Start with a small bunch of colonists, and watch them grow into a big colony. The Dwarf Fortress spin-off is a really decent strategy game (the kind that makes you bang your head against the wall for the complexity and difficulty).
