Dark Light

OK. First of all, our reaction was “Awwwwwwssssooomeee”, when we saw that Quantum Break has been confirmed for the PC. All of us at Indiannoob have been anticipating this Xbox Exclusive (Till that ridiculous reveal in Brazil). And along with the game’s announcement on the PC, Remedy, the developer has also rolled out the system requirements of the game. And well, that’s the only sad part about the news. Quantum break is going to be the most demanding game when it comes out on PC. And you’ll really need a beast of a PC to max it out. And we are not talking about the GTX 970 or GTX 980. It’s even higher. So without further ado, let’s get down to point:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x

RAM: 8 GB

Hard Disk: 55 GB

As you can see above, all of the requirements combined together form a beast of a PC. The present norm of the GTX 660 has been bumped up a GTX 760 and an i5-4460 is a pretty powerful processor, meaning that the game is processor intensive. Probably an i3 will not be able to handle this game. You could probably get away by having a GPU with DDR5 type memory, but we doubt that any GPU with DDR3 RAM will be able to hold the game. The RAM requirements are not so demanding. 8 GB is very common these days. As for the hard disk space, 55 GB is not something new, so that shouldn’t be the problem.

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790, 4GHz or AMD equivalent

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 Fury X

RAM: 16 GB

Hard Disk: 55 GB

The recommended requirements are not very steep, considering the minimum requirements. Though the processing power is still pretty high. A GTX 970 i not much different from a GTX 770 and so we can’t really say that there has been a change in norms. A RAM requirement of 16 GB RAM is not much and an 8 GB RAM chip will be able to run the game just fine.

Ultra Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790, 4GHz or AMD equivalent

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 Fury X

RAM: 16 GB

Hard Disk: 55 GB

We received news that there was an update later on and we came to know that the recommended requirements were actually the ultra requirements. Well, that’s not much of a surprise, given that most games in 2015 needed a high end i7 and the GTX 980 Ti for pushing 60 FPS. Maybe the requirements are not as high as Star Citizen, but that doesn’t change the fact that the game will be the most demanding game, when it launches in the market. We are hoping for the best.

This is the updated article of yesterday’s Quantum Break system requirements.
