If you’re one of the people who are excited about the upcoming Playstation digital event, you might be slightly disappointed. While an official confirmation about a delay is yet to come, there are predictions from several well-known sources, including the likes of Jeff Grub.
This wouldn't surprise me. https://t.co/LIVhfWl6nl

Jeff says that he wouldn’t be surprised if a delay is indeed announced, as it would fall in line with the values Sony has stood for in the past. The official reveal of Madden 21 by Electronic Arts has been delayed due to the protests against systemic racism in the United States following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Derek Chauvin. a police officer working for the Minneapolis Police Department.
Major companies have already come out declaring their support for Floyd, and it would not be surprising if Sony does the same. The Pulse nightclub shooting was addressed by Sony during the official Playstation event during E3 a few years back, and they might do the same this year.
This might be disappointing for many as it was supposed to be when quite a few game announcements have been scheduled to take place (including the confirmation of the rumor of whether a Silent Hill remaster exists or not).
As usual, this remains a rumor until an official word comes through.
