It has finally happened. After a period of rumors and speculations, Paradox Interactive has announced Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 during their hilarious Tender ARG livestream.
The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, based on White Wolf’s tabletop RPG, will be developed by Hardsuit labs and published by Paradox Interactive. Paradox unveiled the game via a pre-rendered trailer showcasing the grim world of the World of Darkness. Watch the trailer below.

It will be a direct successor to the original and is marketed to be highly reactive with the world changing according to the choices you make. The game will be set in Seattle and the players will once again play as a novice vampire entangled in the bloody Vampiric faction wars. Players will meet the old blood founders present since the city’s birth and the new blood steering the tech money redefining the city.
Harduit Labs is best known for its free-to-play shooter Blacklight: Retribution and has brought on Bloodline’s lead writer, Brian Mitsoda, along with game writer and critic Cara Ellison. Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time and proved to be the swan song of Troika Games, formed by RPG veterans Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarski, and Jason Anderson. Having been through a tough developmental cycle, the game was unfortunately released in a muddled and buggy state, the same time as Half Life 2 and became a commercial failure. The RPG has since garnered a strong cult feeling and thanks to a dedicated community, is still being updated to date. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a follow up for more than a decade.
