If you’re one who plays for winning, for getting yourself those sweet sweet chicken dinners, and live somewhere in Asia, then there might be a big opportunity for you to prove your skills! Omen by HP is bringing its own brand of esports to Asia, called the Omen by HP Challenger Series, which is a $50,000 tournament for PUBG.
The tournament will feature participating squads from eleven countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand. Each country will have regional qualifiers, where the best teams will advance on to the Grand Finals in Bangkok, Thailand in November.
“OMEN by HP is determined to inspire gamers everywhere to never stop improving. To be better today than they were yesterday and dominate the game. The OMEN by HP Challenger Series is a testament to that commitment and part of our vision to strengthen the esports ecosystem in Asia Pacific.”, said Daniel Chia, Regional Marketing Manager, OMEN by HP.
Matches will be played in Squad Format and First-Person Perspective (FPP) matches, players will battle it out in a non-stop shrinking circle and loot advantageous resources to eliminate others and stay alive as the winning Champion. Participating squads must consist of at least three (3) local citizens of the country and must be able to travel to the final event in designated country, fully sponsored by OMEN by HP.
The first Online Qualifier will kick start in September with New Zealand and Malaysia on September 14 to September 16, followed by other countries subsequently.
If you think you and your squad are up to the challenge, be sure to register yourselves for the tournament here.
