Top 8 players of GWENT’s first Pro Ladder season competed in the tournament for Crown Points and a share of a $25,000 prize pool. Two finalists also secured a spot in the upcoming GWENT Challenger tournament, which will take place in December.
Frederick “Freddybabes” Bird advanced to the final after performing an amazing reverse sweep in his quarterfinal match against Pro Ladder’s highest ranked player, Andrzej “Adzikov” Bal, and later defeating Jan “SuperJJ” Janssen. Bird’s opponent in the tournament’s final was Damian “Tailbot” Kaźmierczak, whose path to the finals involved an impressive 3:0 quarterfinals win against Qianfan “irohabit” Ma, and defeating Zehua “OMHanachann” Zhao in the semifinals.
Despite Damian “Tailbot” Kaźmierczak’s efforts, it was Frederick “Freddybabes” Bird who came out victorious as November 2017’s GWENT Open winner. The tournament’s final standings are as follows:
