Xbox Game Studios and Asobo Studio have planned to launch their much-awaited next-gen Microsoft Flight Simulator on August 18. After the successful completion of closed alpha tests in the past few months, the hardcore sim is now ready for preorder on the Microsoft Store and also available Day 1 for preinstall on the Xbox Game Pass for PC.
The game will feature vivid and detailed landscapes, a living word with live traffic and real-time weather, highly detailed aircraft with aerodynamic modeling, accurate cockpits and realistic instrumentation, a new interactive checklist system for assistance and a brand new day and night engine with visual flight rules. The game comes in 3 editions – Standard ($60), Deluxe ($90) and Premium ($120), with the Deluxe and Premium adding in more handcrafted airports and aircraft. Check out the details below:
More information will be shared about the Xbox release in the future. The sim is a Xbox Play Anywhere title – if you buy it on the PC, you will be able to play it for free on Xbox, and vice-versa.The game is also not currently available on Steam or the Epic Store, but the team’s goal is to have Microsoft Flight Simulator on as many platforms as possible.
