Grounded started off as a passion project from a small team of around a dozen people from Obsidian Entertainment. Even though it is available on the Xbox Game Pass, the game now sits snugly right at the top of the Steam best-sellers chart, with two other Xbox Game Studios games (Flight Simulator, Sea Of Thieves) in the top five. Microsoft’s bet on Obsidian seems to have paid off, and handsomely at that!
Their survival adventure sandbox game Grounded, where you are reduced to the size of insects, and battle vicious ants and scary spiders in a backyard, has managed to pique the interest of 1 million players in its first 48 hours since the Early Access launch! If you are a fan of the 90’s cult movie series Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, or have always wondered what the world might look to Ant-Man, you should definitely check this game out – it’s available now on both PC and Xbox One.

With the larger team at Obsidian busy with their next RPG Avowed and the DLC expansion for The Outer Worlds, this team will keep chipping away adding more content to Grounded. The first monthly update for this game will land on August 27 – the details of which are going to be revealed soon.
