Being announced way back in April, the Console Edition has finally got a release date. After selling more than 1.4 million copies worldwide solely on the PC platform, 11 Bit Studios have announced that their acclaimed city-building survival game is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One this October 11th.

Frostpunk is a unique and tense take on the traditional survival city-builder genre. Taking their experience in strong narratives from their previous hit This War Of Mine (which itself sold over 4.5 million copies across all platforms) 8 Bit Studios managed to create a really tense and challenging experience that forces you into making choices having bizarre consequences. The game was critically-acclaimed for its unique take on the genre, hooking even those who aren’t usually into this genre, for hours.
