Forza Motorsport 7’s system requirements had been revealed shortly after E3 and now the developers have released an updated version of the same.
Low (720p, 30 fps)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-750 2.67GHz or AMD FX-6300
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: Nvidia GT 740/GTX 650 or AMD R7 250X with 2GB RAM
This is quite some low end requirements by today’s standards and with a bit of dificulty, even integrated GPUs of the latest CPUs might be able to push through the 30 fps mark. An i5-750 isn’t really a powerful CPU and neither is a GTX 650 a powerful GPU.
Recommended (1080p, 60 fps)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz or AMD FX-8350
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 670/GTX 1050 or AMD RX 560 with 4GB RAM
These are the standard minimum requirements for games these days, so if you are able to run games like Witcher 3, this game will not be a problem (If it is well optimized that is).
Ultra (4K, 60 fps)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz or AMD Ryzen 7
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD RX Vega 64 with 8GB RAM
It’s surprising how it still takes a GTX 1080 to push 4k when something like a GTX 670 can push 1080p 60 fps. I was expecting a GTX 1070 to be able to push the 4k 60 fps mark.
Ultrabook (mobile—720p, 30 fps)
- CPU: Core i5-6200U or better
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: Intel HD 520 (integrated) or better
I have no idea on the current laptop versions of CPUs and their integrated GPUs, so I won’t comment on this.
