Just because Stoic has wrapped up their Norse apocalyptic trilogy with the release of The Banner Saga 3 doesn’t mean that they are done with the game.

Stoic Studio has announced that The Banner Saga 3 will be getting its Eternal Arena mode on December 12, 2018, the final Kickstarter stretch goal from the game’s crowdfunding campaign.

The Eternal Arena mode adds gives players new challenges and the ability to customize their own maps, rules, and enemies for special battle arenas. Along with that, Eternal Arena also provides the ability to take on weekly challenges and compete for placement on leaderboards, a slight change in the direction of asynchronous multiplayer.

However, players itching to try out the new game mode do not have to wait until next week, as they can try it out a beta version of it right now.

The Banner Saga 3 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac.
