Dark Light

So I have been pretty quite on the gaming front. And it’s not because there is nothing to report, it’s actually the opposite. The E3 week alone gives you enough news to report for a month. Then there are the next-gen consoles X-Box One and the PS-4. The gaming industry has been churning out news and dropping names like never before. What that meant was that there was too much news, and even more rumors doing the rounds. Yours truly has been all over them, scouring IGN, Machinima, Gaming Blend, VISO games, ChampChong gaming channel and even official X-Box and PlayStation sites to know what is going on.

The biggest E3 in years? Lets find out

I have already covered the launch event of X-Box One and the Play Station 4.

In the following articles I will cover Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, EA and Ubisoft; their showcase at E3 2013 and the aftermath/effects of the event on these gaming giants. I will try to keep them simple, short, and relevant.

This was probably the first E3, that revolved more around the console, than the actual games. And for the first time ever, the console war was won on policies  rather than games (more on that in the articles above). For years however choosing a console has been based purely on the games that you want to play and the price you are ready to pay; and it will be so very soon again. So in celebration of an amazing E3 and the beginning of the console wars, I bring to thee the 3 biggest games of E3.

Halo-5 or Halo

Halo is to X-Box what blood is to body; it just cannot function without it. Microsoft were all about launching a new television series on Halo at their X-Box One launch. At E3 however, they came with the big gun, Master Chief is back in Halo-5 or just Halo. It is yet to be seen if this will be a sequel in the current Halo saga, or a completely new re-boot of the franchise, but I was more busy thinking why Master Chief was wearing that HOBO hood. Check out the trailer and let me know.

The Order 1886

There was no God Of War and there was no Uncharted at Sony’s E3 conference. The fact that they had laid their cards on the table on their PS4 launch, meant most games we saw at E3, were already showcased. And yet, Order 1886 turned heads, it’s a completely new IP and is set in an alternate steam punk U.K. during the year 1886. More info later, check out the trailer and drool.

Batman: Akrham Origins

I was tempted to go with Watchdogs, Battlefield 4 or even Witcher 3, as the biggest cross-platform game at E3. Hell all 3 of those deserve their own separate articles. Batman wins, solely because I am big batman fan, and also because it looked so awesome. The teaser trailer had been doing the rounds for a while now, here is the game play trailer that was showed at the E3.

P.S. I still haven’t figured out a name for my gaming column here at 1HundredWorks. Suggest one in the comments.
