I am a huge DBZ fan, and that anime has given me many memorable moments, but the games, not so. Yes the fighting in all DBZ games have that fast paced, high octane style that DBZ is known for, but the freedom of a player is severely restricted in most. So when I saw this project, I was first like- Dayummmm, This can’t be real, then I had a look at other videos and yeah, I was immediately impressed, in fact ‘jaw dropping’ impressed. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXbJuVjaZ9k]The video is basically a show of the environments and maps, but there are minor sections of traversal and a very tiny bit of combat gameplay. Though there are quite a few glitches, do keep in mind that the game is still in early development and the gameplay will be worked on a lot. But for a game in early development this sure does look impressive. There are some optimization issues, but they’ll be ironed out as the development progresses. Yeah it will probably be multiplayer and I do know that some sound effects and the overall fighting is not exactly ideal, but again, this is quite early in development. The main thing about this game that caught my attention was the open world, it feels a lot like the DBZ universe. As more characters and assets will be added, the world will start to feel more realized, but for one man taking up such a huge project, I would like to see this come to fruition.
