Destiny 2 is arguably one of the biggest releases this year and now that it’s coming to PC, even more people are aboard the hype train, albeit the ones who were not impressed by the Beta on the consoles. Just a few days ago the Destiny 2 Beta for PC was announced and is being organized in August. Today the system requirements for Destiny 2 were announced, so without further ado, let’s get into it:
Minimum Requirements
- OS-Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor- Intel Core i3 3250 or AMD FX-4350
- GPU- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or ATI Radeon HD 7850
- RAM- 6 GB RAM
This isn’t exactly the most detailed of system requirements since there is no mention of the HDD space that’ll be required for the game. I am assuming that it’ll be around 30 GB (It’s just a hunch). As for the rest of the PC, the game doesn’t seem to be demanding all that much. i3-3250 is an entry level processor and any dual core processor with hyper-threading would be able to run the game without problems. As for the GPU, again, both GTX 660 and HD 7850 are pretty old cards now which are surpassed easily by something like the GTX 1050 or RX 460. 6 GBs of RAM is not much considering that 8 GB is standard requirement for most games this gen.
Recommended Specifications
- Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10 64-bit
- Intel Core i5 2400 or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X or better
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390 or better
- 8 GB RAM
The recommended system requirements aren’t steep as well with an i5-2400 which is quite an old processor. I was expecting something a bit more higher, but well, who am I to complain? The easier it is to run, the more people can play it. As for the GPU, last cycle’s mid ranged GPUs are up for the run on both, the green and the red side. Again RAM is not an issue here as well.
So what do you think of the system requirements? Are you going to pick up Destiny 2 for PC later in October after playing the beta? Let us know that and more in the comments below.
bungie is a lazy dev team.they used the same engine from when they made destiny 1 on the ps3 and xbox 360.thats destiny 1.5 expansion looks just like destiny 1.also its why its being called destiny 1.5 expansion.
if i ever play destiny 1.5 expansion ill wait for a sale and play it on pc.
Will definitely get this one, Eagerly waiting to play on my MSI G63VR with GTX1060 GPU. I Guess it will run perfectly on it after reading the system requirements.
