According to a recent article by the Washington Post, the Demon’s Souls remake on the PlayStation 5 will have over 180 videos that will act as guides with increasing levels of visibility into what’s needed to complete portions of the game. This launch title will be integrating these videos into the revolutionary PS5’s Activities UI that was showcased by Sony.

These videos will be of immense help to gamers who might get stuck at some portion of the game and need a little nudge in the right direction. Need to find a hidden objective or a checkpoint? Don’t worry – you won’t have to pause the game, and watch a video somewhere else now. For the purists out there who feel that elements like this are not welcome in the challenging genre of Souls-likes: don’t sweat it, it’s completely optional.

Here’s a snippet of the Activities UI in action in a first look video by Sony back in October. The game used as an example here is Sackboy: A Big Adventure, developed by Sumo Digital.

The game is a complete remake of 2009’s PS3 game of the same name by FromSoftware. Demon’s Souls is being developed by Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio, priced at $69.99 | £69.99, and will launch on November 12, along with the much-awaited PS5 console.
