Alien Pixel Studios announced that their dark fairytale adventure, Unbound: Worlds Apart, has met its funding goal on Kickstarter – and is on track to meet its stretch goal, meaning the game will be released for Nintendo Switch, as well as PC.

Watch the reveal trailer below:

Unbound: Worlds Apart is an atmospheric hand-crafted platformer, sprinkled with mind-bending multi-dimensional puzzles. Unbound invites players to take on the role of Soli, conjuring magic portals to travel between different realities in order to learn more about the catastrophe that ravaged his world. Inside certain portals, the laws of physics and abilities of the character can change, opening up new and inventive ways to progress.

The game was unveiled on 7th May with a public demo available alongside its Kickstarter campaign, and has since been impressing players and press alike with its mix of intricate puzzle-solving and platforming in a gorgeous, hand-crafted, dark fairytale world. Last night the campaign surpassed its goal of raising $25,000 for the two-person team, who are based in Bucharest, Romania.

“This is a dream come true,” wrote co-creator and game designer Sergiu Craitoiu in a Kickstarter update.

“Thank you so much for your support! We can definitely make Unbound the game it deserves to be. We still have some time till the campaign ends and a bunch of cool things that we can do. We really want to bring Unbound to Nintendo Switch.”

At the time of this press release, the campaign requires approximately $4,500 / £3,500 more to meet its Nintendo Switch stretch goal. The campaign has nine days remaining.
