Boss Key Productions, the developers of the game LawBreakers have recently announced that they are aiming for a shift to a more competitive arena. The recent success of the Battle Royale styled games have had much influence in deciding this sudden move and perhaps the inability of the LawBreakers to gain audience is also an undoubtable factor.
Recently, Boss Key Productions released a new reveal video to tease the release of their upcoming video game, Radical Heights, which by its appearance is a Battle Royale styled game melded with a colourful 80s theme. The developers said that the game will have a unique spin to it where the players will fight for cash and money while trying to kill each other. It will also have many 80s-era futuristic sci-fi vehicles and weapons, and probably the most iconic one of them is the BMX bike.
“This is a five month passion project for the studio as we’re creating and publishing the game entirely by ourselves,” said Zach Lowery, Radical Heights’ creative director, in a statement. “We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80’s aesthetic. Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80’s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestants battle it out for fame and prizes.”
The developers have intended to keep the game Free to Play to ensure a steady influx of players but has also stated that upon its release on Steam as an Early Access title on the 10th of April, the Founders Pack will be available for purchase at a nominal rate of only $14.99 or approximately Rs. 973.23. The founders pack will grant the player with bonus items.
