1C proudly announces that Haimrik – a game with a fresh approach to the action adventure genre – will be released on 5 June 2018 on Windows PC via Steam and other digital stores, and on PlayStation4 and Xbox One via digital download. Developed by independent developer Below the Game, Haimrik makes good use of one of the greatest powers known to mankind – the power of words.
Players will have to choose their words carefully when guiding Haimrik, a young scribe and the game’s main hero, on his perilous journey through the treacherous pages of the Words Warriors’ magical book. Encountering various types of enemies, finding his way through intricate puzzles and completing tricky tasks, Haimrik gradually uncovers more about the origin of his newly-acquired powers. Becoming a Word Warrior himself, he literally walks on words, activating some and turning them into physical objects. If the word ‘fire’ burns him to a crisp, then ‘water’ can help him deal with it. But there are a lot more words in Haimrik’s dictionary and players will have to find the right combination to prevent him from dying a terrible, bloody death. The red of blood is one of the few colors used in the game, and it contrasts nicely with the hand-drawn sepia style of the medieval fairytale world. Together with the many eccentric characters and omnipresent dark humor, Haimrik is sure to entertain!
