Owlcat Games, the developers behind the acclaimed isometric CRPG, Pathfinder: Kingmaker has announced that Beneath the Stolen Lands, the third DLC for the aforementioned game has been delayed by around a month.

According to the developes, multiple factors influenced this decision to postpone the DLC. A major problem is the team’s inexperience in handling procedurally generated dungeon as well as the fact that the engine wasn’t built to support such content. The developers’ goal to make the DLC endlessly repeatable has also put additional stress on the team. Then, there is the matter of polish and quality assurance. Hence, the team found it better to postpone the DLC rather than release it in a muddled state.

In the developers’ words, “this is a rather ambitious project for us, and we want to make sure we deliver an experience that is worthy of our players’ attention. We sincerely apologize for this delay, and we hope that you understand our reasons.”

To soften the blow and share our progress with the fanbase, the team has provided a little sneak peek inside the mysterious underground dungeon they’ve been building all this time. Find the screenshots from the upcoming DLC below:
