Apex Legends,the newest battle royale from Respawn Entertainment, is seeing numbers no one ever expected to see. Within a month after official release, the game boasts of a playerbase of 50 million players. While there has not been any explicit numbers detailing the exact player count on any platform (console or PC), the numbers do look pretty impressive.

The official Twitter account have some statistics for in-game actions, including Mozambique kills (people actually use that?). Vince Zampella, the CEO for Respawn Entertainment, has officially taken to Twitter to thank people for “making it special” and promises that “there is more to come”.
