Dark Light

Ubisoft_logoFor Microsoft and Sony this was a special E3. For the first time in almost 9 years, the show was about consoles and not games. For the rest of the companies however (Nintendo mysteriously included), it was just another E3 week. Showing off the best that they had got and making gamers drop their jaws. Ubisoft with its impressive array of games, was right up there. Lets take a look at some of the most impressive games at display.

Watchdogs
Last year, Watchdog was a sleeper agent. It came out of nowhere and basically swept everyone of their feet. This year the game was in the spotlight. Even more than Assassin’s Creed 4 if you can believe that. What we got at E3 was another game-play trailer of Aiden Pierce, taking down another high rise scumbag, and then seamlessly merge with another of his mission, saving his friend. Chicago looked beautiful, and the tools at Aiden’s disposal believable and awesome. No release date was announced as always, but you can check out the trailer here:

Assassin’s Creed 4:
Now that Ubisoft have abandoned that Trilogy inside a trilogy crap; we are back to normal easily understandable Assassin Creed numbering. If you didn’t already know (which would be the case if you lived in cave in the center of Africa), you get to play as Pirate this time around. The much liked controlling the ship mode, is back with much bigger chunks, but what really caught my attention was how good the game looked. I know this is kind of statement that you pull out, when you don’t have anything better to say, but it looked extremely cool. And did I say that people at Ubisoft are hinting that both WATCHDOGS and Assassin’s Creed are set in the same universe. That’s some video gaming cross over stuff right there.

The Division
Another apocalyptic scenario, another shooter, another ****yawn****. Its the Tom Clancy brand for the next gen; and it will be interesting if Patriots comes out before The Division. The game play trailer had nothing exciting really, except for the time when the player opens a map, and it literally opens around him. Its worth watching this trailer just for that:

They had many more games at E3 to showcase, you can find the full conference below:
