The 2017 flying adventure game AER Memories of Old as well as 2019’s retro-inspired action-adventure Stranger Things 3: The Game (based on the Netflix show) are available to claim for free on the Epic Store right now, until July 2.
AER, developed by Forgotten Key and published by Daedaic Entertainment, is a super relaxing adventure game that’s all about the journey. With the ability to transform into a bird at will, you’ll explore a world of floating islands and waterfalls in the sky filled with ancient ruins.
The gentle music and the simple yet appealing visuals make it a pleasant journey worth taking. Not to mention the satisfying and freeing flight mechanic that somehow seems to take all the stress off your shoulders.
Meanwhile, Stranger Things 3: The Game, developed and published by BonusXP, is the official companion game to Season 3 of the Netflix show. With its charming retro-style pixel art and gameplay, fans of the show are sure to enjoy this one. You play through the events of Season 3 as one of twelve playable characters and experience extra never-before-seen quests, character interactions, and more. The game also features two-player local co-op, so this seems like the perfect fit for a couple obsessed with Stranger Things.
Both games will be available until July 2, so grab them while you still can. In addition, next week’s freebies were also revealed. You can look forward to getting 2018’s online multiplayer survival game Conan Exiles as well as the vibrant puzzle-adventure game Hue.
As always, we’ll be sure to put up a reminder post next week as well, so don’t worry about it slipping your mind.
