Nintendo is bringing some of the greatest game line-up to NX to ensure the console pans out well upon launch.

According to a report by MCV, “sources close to Nintendo” – same sources who confirmed to Eurogamer of NX being a handheld – told them that developer Game Freak will bring Pokémon to the platform, though whether it’s a new title or a port of Sun & Moon is not known.

Nintendo’s first party titles – The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and “a new Mario game” are scheduled to launch “within the first six months” of the NX’s launch.

“The firm has also been busy securing third-party support, with Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision and Warner Bros already on-board,” reads report. “Sources close to Nintendo have told MCV that the firm is determined that NX will not suffer the same slow start as either the Wii U or 3DS.”

They also corroborated previous report – which revealed that NX will be a handheld with detachable controllers -to be “100 per cent
accurate”.

“It’s a nice bit of kit, a bit of a novelty, but a good one,” one exec told MCV that has got hands on with the NX. “It won’t appeal to PS4 fans. Nintendo seems set on trying to upgrade smartphone gamers. That’s going to be a big job for the marketing department.”

NX is currently scheduled to launch in March 2017.
