Dark Light

World War Z has reached a threshold of 1 million copies within a week after its release. The copies sold is pretty impressive especially since the game is trying to re-invent an aura of brilliance for zombie games – a heavily crowded genre in itself.

The game also had launched exclusively on PC on the Epic Store, and while the official numbers demarcating PC and console sales weren’t available, the game has performed quite well on all platforms including the PC, which is a feat in itself considering the negative publicity attracted by Epic Games with their exclusivity deals.

The game had 70000 players on the launch week, and the game performed pretty well even outside the US, it’s home territory.

Thanks, Venturebeat.
