Jurassic Park has a cult following since the NES days. It had a large number of games centered around it – building a cult following of its own over the years. There was one game that had people particularly excited, though it never came out. Titled Jurassic World: Survivor, the game was an open-world survival game set after the events in Isla Nublar. However, the game never got to see the light of the day, being canceled eventually even before an announcement. A promising leak suggests that Universal might be interested in making the game again – though it would be called Jurassic World: Aftermath (instead of Jurassic World: Survivor).
A trademark has been registered by Universal Studios for Jurassic World: Aftermath. The trademark reads:-
“The description provided to the USPTO for JURASSIC WORLD AFTERMATH is Recorded interactive multi-media software for playing games; downloadable interactive multi-media software for playing games; downloadable software in the nature of a mobile application for playing games and accessing entertainment content for use with computers, portable handheld digital electronic communication devices, mobile devices, wired and wireless communication devices, and video game consoles; recorded computer game software for wireless and electronic mobile devices, mobile phones, hand-held electronic devices, and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software for wireless and electronic mobile devices, mobile phones, hand-held electronic devices, and video game consoles; computer game discs; video game discs; wireless communication devices and wireless communication systems comprised of computer hardware and recorded software for the transmission of audio, voice, and images; recorded computer virtual reality game software; downloadable virtual reality game software.“
Even an official domain has already been registered, meaning that an announcement could be coming soon. A well-calculated guess is that it would likely be announced during Microsoft’s second conference, which was supposed to the digital replacement for their E3 event.
Like all leaks, take this with a grain of salt (especially since it got canceled the last time).
Thanks, JurassicOutpost.
