Ubisoft studios in Pune and Mumbai launch an online recruitment drive for upcoming blockbuster games

Today, Ubisoft announced it will significantly grow its studios in India. Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai are launching an online recruitment drive to hire more than 250 game testers. These new talents will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of Ubisoft’s video games through manual and partially automated testing.

Ubisoft currently has more than 1,300 employees in India working across production, quality control, and business support teams. Ubisoft Pune, the company’s pioneer studio in India, was acquired in 2008 and has contributed to many of Ubisoft’s biggest successes, including Far Cry 5, Steep, Just Dance 2019 and Just Dance Now. Ubisoft Mumbai, which opened in 2018 and further strengthened the company’s presence in the country, has collaborated on games such as the recently released Hyper Scape and the highly anticipated Watch Dogs Legion. With the recent announcement of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake the studio has achieved a new milestone.

“Our objective has always been to attract passionate talents locally and this recruitment drive is another step towards that goal. As a part of their long-term recruitment efforts, Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai are also developing long-term partnerships with top schools in India. These partnerships aim to nurture the local talent ecosystem and provide them a platform to jump-start their career in the video game industry.

  • Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay)

The Ubisoft India Research Unit is located in the IIT-Bombay Research Par in Mumbai, one of India’s most prestigious campuses. The research unit focuses on developing innovative programs in video games and the fields of AI and machine learning.

  • Intuit Lab

Intuit Lab is an international Art &Design school located in Mumbai. Students in the three year Game Art and Design have the opportunity to participate in internships at Ubisoft’s studios in India.

  • Rubika India and France

Rubika is a leading international video game school. Ubisoft provides support to their under and postgraduate programs specialized in Game Art & Game Design, and have also kicked-off a specific program in Quality Control that offers a full certification in QC.
