Only a couple of months remain for a journey to Montana, where we fight cultists with guns, melee weapons and the like. With the release date fast closing in,Ubisoft has now released the system requirements for Far Cry 5. The PC version is said to have a wide variety of settings and customizable options for tuning performance, and finding the perfect balance between performance and quality.

The system requirements don’t look too hefty for a game scheduled to launch in 2018. However, optimization issues are a prime cause of worry, considering that Ubisoft doesn’t really have a clean record about that, in the past (Assassin’s Creed : Origins, I’m looking at you).

An in-game benchmark tool to test performance on each setting, beside a video memory usage meter which marks how much memory is used up with the current graphics settings. Additional customization like FOV adjustment, FPS locking as well as resolution scaling seek to expand the tuning experience, so that gamers manage to find the perfect balance between performance and graphical fidelity.
