Lady Azshara, the Queen of Tides, ruler of the High Seas and the leader of all Nagas is back in Azeroth! The new update takes the path of the ocean to two new locations – Nazjatar and Mechagon. Nazjatar is the jewel of the ocean, guarded by the fiercely territorial nagas, while Mechagon is the land of the mechs and their gnome masters. If that’s not all, players can mount their ships and visit Crestfall and Snowblossom Village in search of new loot while facing off faction rivals.
The update adds a new raid, seeing players form groups to attack Azshara’s palace under the water. Nazjatar is host to new treasures, pets, toys, and gears – waiting to be grabbed by opportunistic undersea divers,….err…. explorers. Special Benthic gear awaits those who slay the Naga sirens under Azshara (which sadly aren’t tradable). Once the Queen has been dealt with, players are summoned to Mechagon, one of the last surviving cities of the mecha-gnomes – to help them overthrow their king. Heritage armor for gnomes and taurens and a brand new equipment system for mounts is also making its way into the game with the new update. For the more competitive players, there’s a brand new PvP arena in Mechagon, accompanied by a smaller PvP arena for pets! The game is all set to enter Season 3 of PvP, with some quality-of-life changes to keep combat fresh (and bloody, as it should be!).
