Citing the issues that AC Unity has been going through since launching, Ubisoft has decided to make it up to the gaming community by the best way there is : Offering FREE DLC.

Ubisoft has already issued a public apology about the various bugs that have plagued the next gen version of Assassin’s Creed, including the hideous no face bugs where Arno’s face became transparent and only his jaw and eyeballs were visible. This particular bug was rampant on the PC version of the game. The console version of the game however suffered with poor connectivity, lag, frame rate problem and frequent crashes.

Every person who has a valid copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity, will have the next DLC pack for the game completely free of cost. Dead Kings the first piece of DLC planned for AC Unity; is a new campaign that takes place after the base game. Players travel to the city of Saint Denis to undertake new missions and earn extra gear for their arsenal.

For every gamer with a Season’s Pass. Well they will have the option of getting one of the following games completely free:

  • The Crew
  • Far Cry 4
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015

Yup, you can now own either Far Cry 4 or The Crew at the cost of just one Season Pass. If you already own those 2 games, you still have some pretty good games to pick from. The freebie will be limited to the platform that you bought AC Unity for. Also, the specific list of free games “may vary per country and platform.” Ubisoft will be announcing ways to redeem these rewards/make-up gifts soon.

Personally, my time on the AC Unity has been pretty smooth on my PS4. Incidentally I would like to call it one of the best Assassin’s Creed game I have played in a long time (AC Black Flag included). But a lot of gamers have had issues with the game, and I find it extremely pleasing that Ubisoft has decided to spread some love among its gaming community.

AC Unity also recieved it latest patch last weekend which was a whopping 2GB. “In addition to the latest patch and this offer, we are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues you’ve raised,” said Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat in a letter to AC Unity players. “In the meantime, please keep your feedback coming – it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin’s Creed Unity experience.”

How has your experience been with AC Unity, and how do you like the way Ubisoft is making up to you?
