So, before E3 happened, the driving game that PS4 was putting its money on was Drive Club. It looked nice and cool, but then at E3 ‘The Crew’ happened.
Remember, we are still going to get the next Forza, the next Gran Turismo, and even the next Need For Speed. But ‘The Crew’ stole the thunder from all these racing legends. Why? Because its probably the first game that looks and promises next gen.
The Crew sets itself apart because:
- Its going to be a MMO. Just imagine, customizing your car just like you did your character, and actually using it (instead of just showcasing your artwork) along with others. The possibilities here are endless.
- The map is going to be the size of the complete North America. You can actually drive from LA to San Francisco, if you so wanted. Any landmark that you see in the horizon, you can actually drive up to it.
- Then there is team play. Group up with others/friends (hence the name ‘CREW’) to take part in races, events or heists.
- Lets say you are are running a race, and a part of that track is common to another who is running another race. You two will actually share the same path, and could interfere in each others race making it highly UN-predictable. Once again, that’s bloody cool.
