Team17, a global games label, creative partner and developer of independent, premium video games, together with Spanish-based independent developer The Game Kitchen, announced their new partnership as well as unveiled a new trailer for their forthcoming punishing action-platformer Blasphemous.

Blasphemous comes from the makers of the critically acclaimed horror adventure series, The Last Door, and was one of Spain’s most successful Kickstarter’s reaching over 666% of its funding target! Drawing on strong religious themes and local architecture from Sevilla, Blasphemous will take you into a dark and punishing world where fast-paced, skilled combat combines with a deep and evocative narrative core. You will play as The Penitent One, a sole survivor of the massacre of the ‘Silent Sorrow’.
Explore this nightmarish world of twisted religion and discover its many secrets hidden deep inside. Use devastating combos and brutal executions to smite the hordes of grotesque monsters and titanic bosses, all eager to tear you limb from limb. Locate and equip relics, rosary beads and prayers that call on the powers of the heavens to aid you in your quest to break your eternal damnation.
Blasphemous will be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019.
