We were genuinely surprised when we heard the news that Undead Labs’ budget zombie survival sim, State of Decay 2 has surpassed 3 million players across PC and Xbox One. Even with game pass subscribers, that’s a huge amount for such a title. Another notable  and unrelated thing to happen this week is the American Independence Day.

To mark these events, Undead Labs is releasing a new DLC pack aptly named, Independence Pack, which appropriately enough features Revolutionary War costumes (for zombies) and a trio of over-the-top vehicles for survivors. American Independence Day isn’t complete without fireworks however. Undead Labs has you covered on that too. Hence, four brand new fireworks are making it into the game. It seems like you can’t spell Independence day without the walking dead, huh?

Watch the launch trailer for the DLC below.

The Independence Pack is $5 and available in the Microsoft Store, although it’s free if you have the Ultimate Edition. The  Content Update 2, which is out now also adds 20 new missions, a nice selection of new weapons, and a “Rare Books” trader who shows up every few days to offer some new skill books for trade.
