Microsoft recently announced cross network play for Xbox One saying that it is “up to game developers to support this feature” and noted this morning that it is expanding this notion to “other console and PC networks”. After this announcement, the question hovering on most of the people’s mind is – what about those of us on PS4?

When Sony has been asked by GameSpot – if they’re working with Microsoft would be something they’d be interested in – Sony replied by saying: “PlayStation has been supporting cross-platform play between PC on several software titles starting with Final Fantasy 11 on PS2 and PC back in 2002″, they further added “We would be happy to have the conversation with any publishers or developers who are interested in cross platform play.”

Although, Sony didn’t mention Xbox One specifically and neither Microsoft. But as Microsoft said “other console and PC networks” in their announcement, there’s still a hope.
