Smaaash, in association with Essence Transmedia and Playtonia, is going to host a FIFA tournament. Being Smaaash’s first venture into esports activity, assisted by Essence Transmedia and Playtonia, experts in the esports sphere, the Smaaash FIFA Championship 2018 is going to be hosted with an intriguing new format, and with a total prize pool of 100000 INR for the participating players.
Keeping in mind the immense support towards the Indian ecosystem showcased by Smaaash, it is going to be a very good exposure to the international e-sports scene at large. With an official tie up with EA Sports, SFC 2018 is set to carve a niche for itself in the console gaming ecosystem and help in enriching esports content into mainstream entertainment alike.
The game will be played in the knockout format until the top 16 players for the RO16 (Round of 16) are selected from the total pool of 512 players. The RO16 will be played in the League format,with the top two players from each group advancing into the playoffs. The quarter finals, semi finals and finals are going to be played in the BO3 (Best of 3) format.
The prize pool split up is as follows :
1st Position – 50000 INR
2nd Position- 30000 INR
3rd Position – 20000 INR
The entire event will be conducted in Smaaash Premises and the Final Day of the three day gig will be streamed across Facebook and YouTube on SMAAASH Esports. With the final day to be streamed live from the Smaaash Premises, it promises to be an enticing affair.
